DevExpress has also added support for Microsoft’s ASP.NET Dynamic Data (a framework that enables you to build data-driven applications based on a LINQ to SQL or Entity Framework data model) to its ASPxGridView control, and has updated its XtraScheduler Microsoft Outlook-style Scheduling-Calendar component library for Windows Forms, intorducing Appointment Splitting options for all its View Types.

DevExpress has released the first public beta of its Rich Text Edit Control for Silverlight – a Microsoft Word-style text editing component. The control provides advanced text formatting capabilities and offers numerous end-user options allowing you to deliver compelling Silverlight-based business solutions. Key features include character and paragraph formatting, bulleted and numbered lists, styles, multi-column document layout, find and replace, unlimited undo and redo operations, embedded images and a built-in spelling checker.
