PHP as a Social Activity

PHP as a Social Activity is a meetup for people to Make friends by coding together.

We meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month, but this is flexible as we learn what works for attendees.

I decided to start this group to:

  • meet other PHP programmers
  • exchange ideas
  • expand my skills, and the skills of others
  • to solve problems together, and maybe blog about the results

This group was NOT started:

  • to build a social networking site - despite the title
  • if you are building one, that's cool! show up...
  • network with recruiters, don't come if you can't code (at least a little bit)

The purpose of this group is to:

  • talk about code
  • share problems and solutions
  • pair programming
  • code review
  • make friends, something recluse programmers do not do

The purpose of this group is NOT:

  • to be a pissing contest about who's the better programmer. obviously someone will always program better than you (or me)
  • to show-up but not share, or participate in someway, even if it's just asking questions...
  • to steal each others app ideas

Who should join:

  • PHP programmers who want to get out of the house

Events coming up

We don't have any upcoming events for this user group. Do you know this group? If so, why not submit a future event? We also support iCal, EventBrite and Meetup feeds.
