The AWDG is for anyone interested in Web design and development. From coders to visual artists, we all have something to learn from each other. We aim to provide a place for Web professionals to meet new people, exchange ideas, learn new things, and have a little fun too.
The group features some of the best web designers from all over the country speak on topics from CSS and Javascript to running a freelance business to finding your creative inspiration. You are sure to leave each event with something that you can apply in your daily work.
It is a great place to learn from your peers and colleagues, build new relationships, and grow within the local web community. After each meetup we go to a local bar or restaurant for some networking and social time.

People often talk about usability and learnability when discussing web and application development. Things have to be intuitive and familiar to increase conversions and trial... blah blah blah. All of this is really important. But what does it really boil down to? It's all a matter of trust. Trust between the user and the developer. Between the user and the designer. Ultimately trust is allowing yourself to become vulnerable based on a positive expectation. So how do you build trust?
