In The Brain of Janet Gregory, Current Testing Challenges for Agile Teams - London, United Kingdom
happened 8 years ago
****Sign up on our Skills Matter website - In the book that Janet Gregory wrote with Lisa Crispin (Agile Testing: A Practical Guide for Testers and Agile Teams), she recommends using the automation pyramid as a model for automated test coverage. In this model, most of the automated tests should be unit tests and tests below the user interface - API level tests. As more and more applications are transferring logic back into the client side (e.g. using JavaScript) , this model may fall apart.

QA is everyone's responsibility - Columbus, United States
happened 8 years ago
Organised by TechLife Columbus
Who is responsible for QA on an Agile team? The answer is ?Everybody?. And yet this is rarely the case. Often the Testers write their test cases and automation in isolation and execute them after development is finished. Developers write their code without talking to the testers except to understand how to reproduce the latest discovered defect. Product Owners elaborate requirements in isolation and then hand them off to the team only to check back at the end of the sprint.

The conflict between agile and architecture ? myth or reality? with Simon Brown - Oslo, Norway
happened 8 years ago
Organised by Oslo XP Meetup
The words ?agile? and ?architecture? are often seen as mutually exclusive but the real world is starting to tell a different story. Some software teams do see architecture as an unnecessary evil whereas others are coming to the conclusion that they do need to think about architecture once again. After all, even the most agile of software projects will have some architectural concerns and these things really should be thought about up front.
